Maternal Newborn Child And Adolescent Health (MNCAH)


  • Trained traditional birth attendants (TBAs), Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs) and Midwives on reproductive health and safe motherhood and to act as CORPs to promote 16 KHHPs to reduce maternal, newborn and child morbidity and mortality.


  • Communityeducation campaigns and awareness on sexual and reproductive health issues such as nutrition, breastfeeding, family planning, gender issues and male involvement


  • Facilitated perinatal support groups to engage and support young mothers and their families


  • Strengthening antenatal clinics in the selected communities through health education, counseling, routine laboratory screening including HIV testing and treatment for common infections including malaria and STI
